Personal interaction with faculty helped international student Mwende Mumo, ’23, identify the right majors that would capitalize on her math and problem-solving strengths. With her majors in mathematics and economics, she is well prepared for her future career in data science.

Lauryn “LT” Turner, ’25, came to Meredith ready to make her mark. As a lacrosse player, student leader, and broadcaster for a weekly sports show, she’s having a meaningful impact on campus while preparing for her future communications career.
Through a wide range of leadership roles, faculty support, and internships, international studies and political science major Danika Ray, ’24, gained confidence and skills that will set her up for success in her studies at Campbell Law School.
Olivia Roy, ’25, has combined two of her passions, dance and psychology, to positively impact others with dance therapy. Meredith has provided her with opportunities to reach her career aspirations.

Meredith College held commencement for the Class of 2024 on Saturday, May 11. Two ceremonies were held in the courtyard behind Johnson Hall to celebrate more than 490 undergraduate and graduate members of the class.
Meredith College held a special commencement ceremony for seniors on its USA South Conference Champion Lacrosse team on May 9. The team’s success on the field means they will be in competition when the College’s official commencement is held.
Four students in the incoming Class of 2028 have been selected to receive Meredith College’s top scholarship. These students are recipients of the Meredith Full-Ride Merit Scholarship, in recognition of their academic achievement, leadership, service, and character.
This spring student-athletes, coaches, parents and families, and members of the Meredith Alumnae Association gathered in the Johnson Hall Rotunda for ring ceremonies to celebrate Meredith’s USA South Conference champions.
Meredith College’s 2024 Summer Reading Program theme is “Strong Voices: Empowering Student Citizenship.” The program will be built around a central text, The Bill of Obligations by Richard Haass, which offers a straightforward and clear discussion of basic expectations for American citizenship.
The Dietetic Internship (DI) Program is celebrating 30 years at Meredith College.
Dr. Jo Allen has received the Order of the Long Leaf Pine, the highest honor for service in the State of North Carolina. The Office of the Governor grants the award to individuals with 30 or more years of service to North Carolina.
